“Focusing is based on the very positive expectation of change.
What is Focusing?
Focusing is a way of exploring being with ourselves, and our experiences and emotions, rather than “being” them. It is a safe and gentle process, and through Focusing, people often find insights into issues in their lives. It is a natural skill that we can rediscover and reconnect with.
What are the benefits of Focusing?
Have you ever walked into a house and felt immediately comfortable and at home; or conversely had a feeling of wanting to be anywhere else than there? Most of us have had feelings like this at times, or we’ve felt butterflies in the stomach before an interview or a difficult meeting.
In Focusing we pay deeper attention to these feelings, which are natural and truthful physical responses to situations in our lives. Sometimes this helps us in that moment, and sometimes things unfold that may bring therapeutic, creative benefits, and offer us new insights. And it’s a process that you can use at any time.
I am passionate about the benefits of Focusing, and am keen to share its benefits with as many people as possible.
How can I experience Focusing?
I offer one-to-one Focusing sessions, and workshops in small groups. These can be face-to-face in east Kent in the UK, and by phone or Skype – so anywhere in the world. And Skype works surprisingly well!
You don’t need to have learned Focusing before – I will be your guide through the Focusing process. And if you have particular issues you would like to explore through Focusing, I can be your Listener. Contact me here to arrange a time to talk.
